Thorite completes Norgren’s compressor air supply 06 August 2014
Pneumatics and process systems specialist Thorite has completed a contract to install the compressed air pipework system at pneumatic motion and fluid control firm Norgren's new 104,000 fts Engineering Advantage Centre, near Lichfield, Staffordshire.
The six month contract, awarded by main contractor Clegg Construction, involved the installation of ring mains able carrying pressures from 7 to 400bar to every part of the facility, which is now in full operation.
Norgren project manager Sean Howley explains that the 7bar supply provides general compressed air fpr production equipment, including air guns and machinery. The 400bar line is used in the development area for functions such as destructive testing.
"Thorite carried out the installation at our Fradley Engineering Advantage Centre within the timescales planned and is a thoroughly professional company to deal with," states Howley.
