Nikon is a manufacturer of metrology and inspection equipment. MSL brings engineering experience to metrology, combining tools and software from manufacturers to create integrated systems for organisational workflows across a range of applications.
This collaboration is said to allow MSL customers to accelerate their quality inspection, with Nikon’s 3D laser scanners. Whether fully automated or operated manually, these laser scanners provide digitisation of parts by optically capturing millions of high-precision points, reducing inspection time, and offering greater insight for applications such as dimensional metrology and reverse engineering.
Robert Greenbank, industrial metrology and services manager at MSL said: “The chance to work with Nikon Metrology was an obvious one for the Industrial Metrology division at MSL, we believe that Nikon Metrology have almost certainly the best laser scanner on the market for CMMs today.
A key focus for MSL Industrial Metrology this year is to increase the number of retrofits we provide and therefore the aim of our division is to assist our customers, protect them from obsolescence and increase their throughput.
