LEEA publishes new safe lifting COPSULE code 24 June 2014

LEEA has launched the eighth edition of its Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Lifting Equipment (COPSULE) – along with a new version of the User's Pocket Guide to Lifting Equipment.

The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association's COPSULE is widely acknowledged as the primary reference for selecting, operating and maintaining overhead lifting equipment.

It addresses common causes of lifting-related accidents, and is now available in a paperback format explaining the foundations for any safe lifting programme.

COPSULE also examines equipment, including hoists, winches and slings – and now also electric overhead travelling cranes – providing detailed advice on methods of installation, inspection, maintenance and storage.

As for the new User's Pocket Guide, this A6 publication offers at-a-glance information on issues ranging from legal compliance to planning lifts, and selecting, using and inspecting equipment.

Available direct from LEEA, COPSULE costs £25.00 for member companies and £100.00 for non-members.

The User's Pocket Guide is priced at £8.00 for members and £10.00 for non-members.
