Global Heat Transfer expands engineering R&M services 10 March 2015

Thermal fluid specialist Global Heat Transfer has expanded its services to include the installation, maintenance, service and repair of combustion and plant equipment – including boilers, burners, incinerators, ovens and air heaters.

Managing director Clive Jones makes the point that combustion equipment is critical to the daily operation of facilities in most industries, but argues that, without preventative maintenance and safety controls, it can deteriorate and become a hazard.

"Combustion equipment rarely gets the attention it deserves and the cause is usually company culture," states Jones.

"The common mentality when it comes to boilers, burners and ovens is to say 'if it isn't broke, don't fix it'," he continues.

"Preventative maintenance is the only way to ensure your system is working efficiently and your employees are not exposed to unnecessary health and safety risks."

Jones insists that Global Heat Transfer's Thermocare packages can save up to 75% on running costs, unplanned maintenance and energy.

"The situation is similar when it comes to combustion equipment, although every facility is different," he says.

The company's Gas Safe accredited engineers specialise in identifying problems in combustion equipment early and Jones says this helps plants avoid costly downtime.
