Workshop compressors to take on all comers 13 May 2013

Rotary vane compressor specialist Mattei has launched the Blade range of workshop compressors aimed at small and medium sized businesses.

Available with 4, 5.5 and 7.5kW motors and covering operating pressures of 8, 10 and 13 bar, Blade compressors also offer exceptionally low noise levels, according to Andy Jones, general manager for Mattei.

Each compact unit comes with a Maestro XB programmable controller, he says, which matches compressor operation to the requirements, and an aluminium combi-cooler.

Jones explains that these compressors are available as free standing units or on a 270L receiver, which occupies less than a square meter of space and features Mattei's cast iron blades, which are guaranteed for 100,000 hours' operation.

Additionally, Mattei has incorporated design ideas that help to reduce maintenance. For example, the design ensures that the correct operating temperature is reached quickly, so preventing internal condensation.

The compressors also in include an integrated multi stage oil/air separation system, for low lubricant consumption and a residual oil carryover of just 3ppm.
