According to Spelsberg, many contractors need electrical installation solutions that combine speed and safety. The new range meets these requirements, featuring pre-assembled components and pluggable systems tailored to each customer.
With this range, the lugs, distribution components and cables are planned in advance and incorporated in the enclosure. Pre-assembled cables and standardised plug connectors are said to ensure true plug-and-play functionality, shortening installation times compared to traditional wiring systems.
This is said to be especially beneficial in structures that have repetitive room layouts such as offices, hotels, hospitals, schools, daycare centres, care homes, exhibition halls, industrial sites and shopping centres. Furthermore, thanks to the plug-and-play design, the TKS system is expandable, allowing changes or redesigns to be implemented on the fly. Electrical systems can be installed while wider construction is ongoing.
Suitable for fitment in suspended ceilings, wall ducts, cavity walls and raised floors, the TKS can be used to support lighting, smoke detectors, speakers and balcony door contacts.
Safety is also a key focus of the TKS range. Installation errors are claimed to be virtually impossible with the standardised plugs and factory pre-assembled components, which stop incorrect connections for a fault-free installation. Unused plugs are blocked off to help prevent mistakes by operatives. This also means that less-specialised personnel can carry out installations safely.
Customers can specify a range of enclosure dimensions, as well as a transparent lid for inspection. There are 25 adapter frames for Winsta snap-in connectors, which allow sub-distribution boards, control and switching tasks to be completed easily. Some TKS variants can accommodate additional rail-mounted components, or hinged windows with partition units.
