Slip rings bring festive cheer to Bury Garden Centre 11 December 2012

Mini carousels and slip ring units from Movetech UK re bringing festive fun to Summerseat Garden Centre, in Bury, by animating Christmas trees and Santas.

Garden centre manager Sam Ainscow contacted the company about electrically-powered rotating decorated Christmas trees and installing a ferris wheel.

The company provided the carousels and slip rings, for power to run through the displays without wires.

"This is the first time we've had so much moving in a display," states Ainscow. "Christmas displays can be quite boring, but using a turntable has allowed us to create a bit of atmosphere with the trees – and the slip ring has allowed us to light them as well."
