Rotamec expands into the Midlands with Covelec acquisition29 July 2021

Rotamec Engineering Services, which offers motor rewinds, pump and gearbox repairs, and drive solutions has expanded its operations into the Midlands following the acquisition of Covelec.

The Leicester-based site will continue to offer the same level of technical expertise and engineering know-how, while expanding the services available and reaching new markets. With almost 40 years’ experience as a motor rewind and repair specialist, Covelec has a reputation for technical expertise in the field of motor rewinds and electro-mechanical repairs.

Rotamec is an electromechanical service provider for rotating equipment including the repair and maintenance motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes and power transmission components. It offers its customers a 24-hour call-out service which includes on-site diagnostics, repair and installation services, as well as distribution partnerships with many leading brands.

We want to make sure that we can deliver a personal service and will always have engineers available to visit customers on-site for maintenance repair or diagnostics.”

A stock-holding of new motors, gearboxes and drives helps assure customers of short lead times for new equipment as well as for repairs. The field service teams are equipped to carry out diagnostics as well as removal and installation of equipment on site, and they are also available for emergency breakdown attendance.
