RJW Lloyds certified for spiral welding 29 May 2013

Liverpool engineering company RJW has received Lloyds approval for its spiral welding procedures and machine – one of the largest in the UK and part of a £100,000 investment.

Spiral welding is one of the best quality shaft reclamation techniques available and RJW makes the point that it provides a long-term, cost-effective solution to worn shafts.

The Lloyds certification adds to RJW's existing accreditation from Shell UK and Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for a range of industries.

RJW can now accommodate shafts from 25mm to 2m in diameter and up to 6m long. As well as welding with carbon steels (EN 8, 24 etc.), stainless steel and other more exotic materials, including Monel and Incalloy, can be applied.
