Pyeroy wins third Huntsman maintenance services contract04 May 2010
Industrial services supplier Pyeroy, which serves the chemical, petrochemicals and energy industries, has won a £2.5 million contract with chemicals giant Huntsman, for fabric maintenance.
The contract is for an initial three year period, with a two year option and is with Huntsman's Polyurethanes manufacturing plant at the Wilton Integrated Chemical Park on Teesside – producing Aniline and Mononitrobenzene, and the largest of its type in the world.
Hugh Pelham, managing director of Pyeroy, says his company is integrating Huntsman's fabric maintenance services into its management organisation in the North East.
Pyeroy is now responsible for access provision, thermal insulation, industrial coatings, fire protection and standby. Scope is similar to Pyeroy's existing contract with Huntsman in the North East at its titanium dioxide pigment manufacturing facility at Greatham.
Duncan Peel, Huntsman polyurethanes engineering manager, says: "We are delighted at the prospect of working with Pyeroy and developing a good teamwork philosophy between them and ourselves."
