Profibus launches safety and security seminar 27 February 2013
The Profibus Group has developed a free single-day seminar to address safety and security issues arising from the use of digital communications in automated manufacturing applications.
Presented at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry on April 23, the seminar will focus on the safety aspects of system design and operations in everything from packaging and printing plants electrical and electronics to assembly, robotics, automotive engineering, drives, mechanical handling and logistics.
The seminar will be presented by safety and fieldbus specialists Stephen Park and Harriet Gibbons of BAe, Derek Lane of Wago, Mark Freeman, Peter Brown and Ian Curtis of Siemens Automation & Drives.
Supported by live demonstrations and case studies, the seminar is aimed at designers, production engineers and system engineers involved in design, operation and maintenance of modern automated factories and machinery.
