Preformed Windings moves to Clyde Blowers Capital09 July 2014

Wolverhampton-based Deritend Industries has sold Preformed Windings to Clyde Blowers Capital for an undisclosed sum. The business joins CBC's electric machines group.

"We're pleased to have found a good home for Preformed Windings, as the nature of [CBC's] business is an excellent fit," states Richard Hale, group managing director for Deritend Industries.

"The sale will also enable Deritend to concentrate on what we do best – providing whole life cost asset management services for our customers," he adds.

"We intend to continue to develop the Preformed Windings business by increased investment in products, plant, premises and people," comments Kerr Picken, business strategy director for the electric machines group at CBC.

"We're also going to be extending the range of HV coils and delivering a more flexible offering to meet the needs of our customers, which include OEMs and service companies," he adds.

The company will continue to operate from its base in Sheffield.
