Predictive maintenance service aims to ease load 12 May 2010
Motor condition monitoring (MCM) specialist Artesis has launched a predictive maintenance service for plant engineers concerned about difficult expert analysis and data interpretation aspects.
Aimed at both new and existing MCM users, the service is in recognition of the fact that it is not enough simply to supply easy to use technology.
That's why, says the firm, it is making its team of experience maintenance engineers available to provide an all-round solution, regardless of whether they have remote, online or stand-alone systems.
Artesis managing director Andy Bates makes the point that, to most plant engineers, "the data they see is little more than numbers, lines and statistics". This is where the diagnostic service comes into play, he says.
"Artesis prides itself in providing a simple to install, simple to use and simple to understand technology, which provides clear guidance on any faults or anomalies that are present and subsequently issues recommendations for action," says Bates.
However, [given that] it is not always convenient or suitable for these results to be reviewed and actioned internally … a diagnostic support service [takes] the load and pressure off in-house maintenance teams, allowing for a more effective and efficient approach, reassured by the back up that the service and MCM system offers," he adds.
