Next-gen energy saving compressors launched by Atlas Copco 07 August 2014
Improved energy savings and productivity, as well as reduced operating costs are the chief claims for Atlas Copco's latest GA 90+-160 oil-injected rotary screw compressors.
The patented screw element has been repackaged in a design said to improves performance by up to 5% while also providing for increased availability and durability.
Energy savings features include a premium efficiency IE3 motor, no-loss water separator drain, energy recovery module and integrated dryers, which delivers clean, dry air – so also improving reliability with further energy savings.
Chris Lybaert, president of, Atlas Copco's Oil-free Air division, says that the latest GA air compressors are also designed to perform in demanding operating conditions, including in temperatures up to 55°C.
And he adds that, with its intelligent control and monitoring systems, Elektronikon and SmartLink, the new range also enables further optimisation of compressor operation and hece additional savings.
