Micro-Epsilon UK senses 10th anniversary party 13 August 2014
Precision sensor manufacturer Micro-Epsilon celebrates its 10th anniversary in the UK this month (August 2014).
To mark the occasion, the firm staged an event at its offices in Birkenhead, Cheshire, with guests including staff from Micro-Epsilon's headquarters in Germany, as well as suppliers, customers, family and friends.
Apart from a tour of the factory ans a presentation on the history and achievements of the company from Chris Jones, managing director of Micro-Epsilon UK, guests were treated to a tour of the U-534 U-Boat story, before taking the 'Ferry across the Mersey' to Liverpool harbour, for a dinner.
Although Micro-Epsilon was set up in Hanover, Germany, in 1968, it was not until 2004 that the UK arm of the business was established.
"It's amazing when you look back over the last decade at the performance of the UK business, which has grown so rapidly – from a one-man office in Liverpool to a multi-million pound business with a factor 20 growth," comments Jones.
Micro-Epsilon UK's latest facilities include a training room, product demonstration area and precision measurement zone for customer samples.
