The investment represents phase one of a series of improvements that Lotte is making to the facility that will ensure that the site is more than capable of keeping pace with the demands of clients operating in Asia’s online fashion market.
Lotte has worked with LiBiao on plans for the development of other key aspects of the Seoul operation and phase two of the project is expected to commence shortly.
LiBiao’s tSort uses autonomous mobile robots to automatically transfer a variety of products and package configurations to the designated divert chute or induction station.
The tSort can be upgraded with the addition or removal of robots, chutes and/or induction stations as necessary. Furthermore, the system’s modular design means tSort can be relocated – so 3PL operators such as Lotte can adapt their intralogistics processes to meet the changing needs of their clients as and when required.
The twin level tSort solution designed by LiBiao is said to operate within a smaller footprint than the conveyor system it replaces.
