LC Automation catches the Anybus for industrial communications 24 August 2011
Industrial control and safety products distributor LC Automation says it is partnering with HMS Industrial Networks to difficult factory communication solutions.
The pair are using HMS's Anybus range of network cards, which connect multiple industrial devices and networks.
"With the HMS products we can provide reliable solutions to connect devices, such as robots, control systems, motors and sensors to any industrial network," states Malcolm Chadwick, managing director at LC Automation.
"The HMS network cards and knowhow enable users to implement devices regardless of network environment," he adds.
David Folley, sales and business development manager at HMS, states that the company now offers more than 300 gateways, capable of solving "a vast range" of industrial communication problems.
He explains that, for example, they can allow the translation of data from one fieldbus network, such as Profibus, to another, such as Modbus. HMS also has communicators which allow the translation of serial data to a fieldbus network.
