Keeping the new Lamborghini cool 24 February 2010
The 650bhp carbon fibre bodied Lamborghini Reventon V12, with its cockpit styled to look like an F-22 Raptor fighter jet, uses a new electromagnetic flow meter developed by Euromag, available in the UK from Litre Meter.
Designed for automotive coolant applications, with their high pressure and temperatures issues, it measures the flow of fluid in the engine's cooling system and fluid used in its air conditioning system.
"The Lamborghini tests have been successful, but it is only using the sensor in its prototype at present. However, Volkswagen in Europe is starting to purchase this unit and Chrysler in the US is using the meter on each of its trucks," says Euromag sales manager Annalisa Riva.
