Ideally suited for process applications, including pneumatic conveying, woodworking, drying, sterilising, impregnation, thermoforming and extrusion, the DZS range comprises three models: the DZS 065 V, DZS 150V and DZS 300V, with nominal displacements of 45, 90 and 180 cfm respectively. The DZS pumps offer unrivalled ultimate vacuum levels ranging from 50−140 mbar(a), 28.3− 25.8 Hg Vac.
A major feature of the DZS modular concept is the segregation of the corrosion- resistant pumping chamber from the gearbox. This allows easy access for the removal, cleaning and re-assembly of the stainless steel claws while eliminating the need to strip and re-time gears after cleaning procedures. The isolation of the gearbox eliminates the risk of contamination from process or gearbox oil that occurs with more traditional pump technologies.
The vacuum pumps are powered by highly efficient VSD compatible IE3 motors to provide efficient, smooth, dependable flow throughout the whole speed range. VSD units offer significant energy savings of up to 50% compared to fixed speed equivalents. These drives not only match response to varying demand, but also provide the opportunity to replace multiple machines with single units. This makes it possible to centralise pumps in one location and optimise system performance.
The DZS modular design allows flexibility and efficiency in terms of maintenance and life cycle costs. Specifically, it offers major advantages with heat dissipation issues. Traditional claw pumps run hot, which adversely affects seals and bearings and can cause premature failure. A combination of upgraded bearings and seals plus Atlas Copco’s patented cooling design concept ensures efficient quiet air distribution and smooth operation.
Atlas Copco dry claw vacuum pumps are fully certified, meeting the demanding requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, as verified by Lloyds of London. In addition, they are backed up with Atlas Copco’s market-leading warranty and a nationwide service support network.
