HSS secures major tools contract with Thames Water 13 October 2010

HSS Hire has secured a five-year, multi-million pound contract for the hire of tools and equipment to Thames Water.

The deal will see HSS supply contractors working on Thames Water projects with all small tools and equipment, as well as safety and survey equipment, and health and safety training.

This is the latest in a series of big contract wins for HSS. In this case, HSS will provide one point of contact and a 24-hour service to any onsite contractors at centrally agreed, rates.

Thames Water says that it expects the deal to ensure consistently low costs while also encouraging a level playing field for contractors and guaranteeing HSS' rigorous service levels throughout.

"We believe firmly in helping our customers to save time and money and this new collaborative partnership model is a pioneering approach that will do just that by promoting price transparency and operational efficiency," comments HSS chief executive Chris Davies.
