Habasit Rossi improves efficiency at Harmsworth Quays Printing27 June 2011

Newspaper printing giant Harmsworth Quays Printing has selected Habasit Rossi as its preferred supplier for belting to improve process efficiency and reduce replacement costs.

Iain Windsor, technical publishing manager at Harmsworth Printings' Surrey plant, explains that the company had been having problems with belts continuously failing, and causing downtime and production losses.

"With the existing belts life expectancy becoming shorter and shorter, it was clear that we needed a more reliable and durable solution," states Windsor.

"I needed to find a reliable supplier that was able to help us at short notice, and provide a cost effective, easy to fit solution. Habasit Rossi fit the bill perfectly, particularly when it comes to service and support."

Windsor reckons the plant is now set to make "remarkable cost and time savings", and adds that currently the plant is operating with 95% of Habasit Rossi belts.
