Entrants will be asked to complete a rigorous self-audit, which triggers a free benchmarking report from Cranfield School of Management worth over £1,500.
Successful sites will then be visited by the Cranfield judging team later this year to assess whether the facts match the figures at your factory.
Winning sites will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London on 26 September.
2013 BFA winner, Colin Boughton of Fujifilm said: "British manufacturing companies can only compete on a global stage if they are world class. The Best Factory Award process was a way of determining where we were on that journey. We would encourage anyone involved in manufacturing to take part."
Toyota Material Handling is headline sponsor of the 2014 Best Factory Awards and other sponsors include Atlas Copco, IoSH and Schaeffler.
