Free training for steam and condensate engineering 10 December 2010
A series of free one-day and three-day training courses, covering steam engineering and condensate management, is being offered by Burkert.
The courses, which start on 21 February 2011, range from 'An Introduction to Steam' to 'Steam and Condensate systems', 'Pressure Reducing and Heat Transfer Systems' and 'Clean Steam and Sterilisation'.
Greg Sutcliffe, Burkert's global steam segment manager, says they are open to existing and prospective Bürkert customers, end users, OEMs and plant integrators.
"Our timing in running these courses could not be better," states Sutcliffe. "We recognise that the global market for steam solutions is growing and with it comes an ever more demanding need for on-site application understanding.
"We also believe that the steam market is experiencing a shift in emphasis and is becoming [more] demanding. We can no longer afford as an industry to be static."
He gives the example of increasing hygiene standards in industries such as food and beverage, dairy, pharmaceuticals, bio-technology and the medical sector.
"With our modular … technical courses, we hope to pass to our attendees our experience in all aspects of steam and condensate management systems, equipping them with the key knowledge to specify, understand and integrate steam applications into their worlds," says Sutcliffe.
Attendance is on a first come, first served basis and each course can take10 engineers and technicians, with lunch provided.
Incidentally, each attendee also receives a copy of Burkert's 'Steam Site Guide' book.
