Robotics company Fanuc has opened a 500m2 training centre and showroom in Maynooth, County Kildare, to provide automation, servicing and training to Irish manufacturers.

At the launch event on 11 October, visitors experienced live demonstrations of a range of Fanuc robotic solutions and automated systems. These included the LR-10iA, a robot series suitable for all types of material handling applications; the CRX cobot range, a series of lightweight collaborative robots that boast eight years of zero maintenance; and the Robodrill vertical machining centre, suitable for automated production runs.

Speaking at the event, Tom Bouchier, managing director of Fanuc UK & Ireland, said: “Our new Maynooth facility is accessible from most of the island in under three hours and offers a showroom, training facility and a base for our five-strong team, which we intend to expand further.”
