Europump has been welcomed onto a forum that seeks to accelerate the transition to more sustainable products in line with the EU’s broader environmental goals.
The Ecodesign Forum serves as an advisory body in the development and implementation of ecodesign requirements under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). It brings together a range of stakeholders, including industry representatives, civil society, and academia, to shape the future of sustainability in European product design.
Luboš Michlík, president of Europump, said: "We are delighted to have been accepted onto the Ecodesign Forum, a platform that plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable product design within the EU. This recognition is a testament to Europump's long-standing commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the pump industry."
Through its participation, Europump aims to further contribute to the development of regulations that will drive the creation of energy-efficient, sustainable pumps, promoting long-term environmental benefits. These endeavours will build on the work already undertaken, including that of Europump’s flagship project, EcoPump, the climate and energy policy it has adopted since 2016.
