Emerson acquires ISE Magtech for level gauges 10 May 2012

Process control and instrumentation giant Emerson has acquired ISE Magtech, strengthening its level measurement equipment range for a spread of industries.

"This acquisition is strategic to extending our solutions to help oil and gas, refining, chemical and power plant operators to monitor and control conditions in a wide range of applications," comments Tom Moser, president of Rosemount Measurement.

"ISE Magtech's knowledge and technology combine perfectly with Rosemount technology to expand Emerson's offering," he adds.

He cites ISE Magtech's magnetic level gauge and Emerson's Rosemount guided wave radar, stating that the combination provides a complete liquid measurement solution, with visual indication and a robust transmitter for automated system monitoring.

"ISE Magtech is one of the industry's most recognised providers of magnetic level gauges and transmitters – a complement to Emerson's end-user-voted industry leading instrumentation," he says.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
