These machines are said to offer customers energy efficiency gains of up to 15%, with low life cycle costs in the 90-110kW compressor range.
According to Elgi, the upgraded Elgi EG SP units embody newly configured two-stage airends, featuring the proven η-V profile, which optimises the overall compression process, resulting in up to 15% savings in specific power consumption.
The low-speed air ends and a lighter load on each stage ensure an extended component lifespan. Additionally, the IE4 motors enable an integration of advanced design and technology, resulting in increased energy efficiency. All EG Super Premium machines are also equipped with Neuron 4 industrial controllers which are said to guarantee optimal performance and enhanced operability. The EG Super Premium also features an oil filter designed for prolonged 4000-hour lifespans; the filter removes contaminants from the compressor’s lubrication system. In addition, all EG Super Premium units are compatible with Air~Alert, Elgi’s add-on Internet of Things solution, which when integrated with the Neuron 4 controller, transforms compressor management by elevating uptime and energy efficiency, and enables 24/7 global remote monitoring.
The Elgi EG SP units will be available for delivery in Europe in the second quarter of 2024. Every EG Super Premium compressor comes with a superior warranty of 10 years on the air end and five years on the package.
