Deritend becomes Belzona specialist coatings centre 08 December 2010

Maintenance and engineering group Deritend Industries has been approved as a Belzona authorised coating centre for its industrial protective coatings.

The firm's West Bromwich facility celebrated becoming one of the polymer composites specialist service centres, with a team of senior executives from Belzona (pictured).

It's a prize only granted to four other companies in the UK, so far, and means that Deritend can now coat customers' equipment with Belzona's 1341 Supermetalglide product.

Deritend's operations manager Darren Harris explains that this is capable of providing significant improvements to efficiency, costs saving and energy usage.

"Being officially confirmed as a Belzona authorised coating centre is a very important achievement to us, and one that serves to reinforce our decision to invest in the equipment and training needed to offer this remarkable product to our customers," says Harris.

"In key sectors, such as the water industry, where efficiency of equipment and processes is a major driver, our ability to provide this product will be of vital importance to customers, who will achieve significant energy savings and whole life cost benefits."
