Crowcon gas detection completes move to Milton Park 08 September 2014

Gas detection specialist Crowcon has officially opened new facilities in Milton Park, built to "improve customer access to Crowcon's knowledge and expertise".

Mike Ophield, managing director of Crowcon, says that, with 40% more capacity, the new site can now provide more delegates and that a modernised calibration laboratory will provide improved service.

He also says that Crowcon's larger demonstration area now provides access to its full range of gas detection and safety products – and that manufacturing output can also now expand to meet growing demand.

"Whichever way we look at it, the move to bigger and more modern premises could not have come at a better time for us," says Ophield.

"After over two years of planning, I am really delighted to see this facility come to life," he continues.

"As we are an international company, we are fortunate that Milton Park is both a hub for science and innovation and an excellent location with great transport links.

"Other key considerations for us were retention of our highly skilled workforce and continued commitment to local employment."
