Coronavirus: Ubisense launches contact tracing platform01 June 2020

To protect workers and aid productivity, real-time location intelligence solutions provider Ubisense has launched a new contact tracing solution that is globally available to a range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, warehousing and logistics.

The Ubisense SmartSpace is said to monitor the real-time location, interactions and status of people, tools and facilities. By utilising Ultra-Wideband (UWB) mobile tags and fixed sensors, businesses can alert workers to safe distances and respond to Covid-19 cases to track workers or spaces at risk, minimising the spread and impact on operations.

The firm adds that the technology has been proven for long-term use cases; once implemented within a facility, the technology used for contact-tracing can naturally extend to ongoing evaluation, monitoring and improvement of entire operations.
