For more than 150 years, Central Highlands Water has been delivering water supply and wastewater services throughout the Victorian Central Highlands region in Australia. With more than 160,000 customers, it operates in a region with a growing population with heavy demands on water supplies and infrastructure.
The new platform replaces five core on-premise systems, including Infor Public Sector, and covers a range of business processes, from financial accounting, budgeting and planning, asset management to procurement and work order management.
According to Infor, the benefits of the cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) include improved data governance, enhanced ability to integrate, share, analyse and process data, a more robust security posture and improvements in user experience. It will also enable Central Highlands Water to handle the increasing complexities of managing assets through partners and third parties.
The two-year programme will form part of the foundational technologies for Central Highlands Water’s More than Water 2040 Strategy.
“One of the major projects we will be focusing on is the ICT&D Business Solutions and Digital Enhancements project, to ensure we continue to provide the best digital solutions and experiences for our customers. Our partnership with Infor is important to achieving this vision and we’re pleased to continue our relationship,” said Jeff Haydon, managing director, Central Highlands Water.
“Infor has a proven track record of helping organisations digitally transform to meet internal objectives, regulatory requirements and customer needs,” said Terry Smagh, senior vice-president and general manager, Infor Asia Pacific and Japan. "Modern utilities require agile, secure, and data-driven, industry-specific Infor CloudSuite systems to deliver customer excellence, maximise financial resources and consistently achieve operational efficiency. As a trusted partner, Infor is pivotal to their success.”
