Camfil Farr wins best engineering plant at Best Factory Awards 03 October 2011
Filtration equipment manufacturer Camfil Farr has won the award for best engineering plant at the Best Factory Awards 2011.
Camfil Farr's 160,000 sqft plant in Haslingden, Lancashire was also highly commended for the health & safety award, and the energy and environment award.
The Best Factory Awards are organised by the Cranfield School of Management in partnership with Findlay Media's Works Management magazine, and are aimed at promoting and rewarding manufacturing excellence in the UK.
"Few factories can produce standard and non-standard products with equal speed and consistent quality," comments Jamie Kay, production director at Camfil.
"Thanks to our confident, skilled workforce and superb engineering skills, we do it every day. This award is a huge endorsement from manufacturing experts of the capability of our people and processes."
The winners of the 2011 Best Factory Awards were announced at an awards lunch at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel, London on 30 September.
