Burkert UK launches batch controls project service 15 August 2012

Burkert UK has launched a service that covers design, manufacture and commissioning of packaged batch control systems.

Aimed at plant engineers in industries ranging from hygienic processing to water treatment, brewing, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals, it links Burkert's fluid controls with third-party products to meet bespoke requirements.

Tom Carnell, manager of Burkert UK's System Division., says the company scores because of its ability to combine process and laboratory automation, valve elements, sensors, flowmeters, water treatment systems and networked communications into single-source customised systems.

He also says it's about taking on complete project responsibility, from concept through to design, manufacture, and assembly and testing – whether for small or large production runs.

"What is increasingly evident, today, is that the complexity of modern processes cannot always be satisfied with standard batch control," comments Carnell.
