The partnership has seen Brammer lend its support to the university’s electric and petrol racing teams, the UK’s number one Formula student team, comprising of final year engineering students who develop single seat race cars which compete worldwide. In addition, the company has donated £250 worth of vouchers for the students to purchase any product in the Roebuck range for use in their workshops for both the electric and petrol versions of the cars. Roebuck is a comprehensive range of quality tools and specialist equipment exclusively available from Brammer.
As part of an ongoing programme of support, Brammer, has already sent its Mobile Centre of Excellence and Specialist Tool Demonstration vehicles to the university’s campus to provide the students with technical advice and guidance, and showcase some of the products it has on offer. The Specialist Tool Demonstration vehicle was specifically equipped with a range of tools customised to the needs of the students, and was staffed by specialist experts who offered technical advice on product selection, and answered any queries the students had.
Stuart Millar, National Sales Director, of Brammer, explained: “As an organisation, we’re dedicated to nurturing the skills and talents of young engineers, so what better way to show our support than by sponsoring the university’s race team. As one of the best engineering universities in the world, we’re really pleased to lend our support to the young engineers at Bath University and proud that our Roebuck products are already widely used throughout its engineering facilitites.
“We received fantastic feedback in response to the Mobile Centre of Excellence and the Specialist Tool Demonstration vehicles from both the students and staff, with students really interested in the motors demonstration which highlights the cost, CO2 and energy savings, which can be achieved by upgrading motors, belts or pulleys. The vehicles also enabled both staff and students to expand their own product knowledge, and find out more about the latest innovations and the tools that would be most suitable for them through our technically-trained advisors, who were on-hand to offer tailored advice and guidance to ensure they were utilising the very best products on the market.”
