Bosch UK opens £1.2m northern hydraulics and heating facility 15 November 2013

Bosch UK has opened its new northern location, which combines Bosch Rexroth, its industrial drives and controls company, and Worcester, Bosch Group, its heating and hot-water solutions firm.

Located in Normanton, near Wakefield, it is built on a 3.6 acre site, and will provide customer service and support for Bosch Rexroth mechanical engineering customers and training to its installers in the heating and hot-water sector.

According to Peter Fouquet, president of Bosch UK, the site will be used for everything from Bosch Rexroth hydraulic systems design and manufacture to training on industrial hydraulic systems.

He also explains that it has been built to BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) standards, and includes a 21,150 sq ft workshop, a 9,300 sq ft training area, and seminar rooms and office space.

"This new facility is a major investment for Bosch and represents not only our commitment to the region, but is also part of our continued drive to provide enhanced service and training to our customers," states Fouquet.

"Our aim is to pass on our knowledge and expertise to our customers, through our products and our after-sales support," he adds.
