Blow moulding machines get new compressor at McBride 25 May 2010
McBride's personal care products manufacturing plant at Burnley has a new Compair high pressure air compressor and pipework to supply air at 40bar to power three PET blow moulding machines.
Engineering supervisor David Slater says the unit says he expects this to rise to four machines, to meet increased demand for trigger spray bottles containing antiseptics or cleaning products.
"After problems we've experienced in the past with our old compressor set up, the new machine from Thorite is a revelation," says Slater.
"The performance is fantastic and certainly makes my life a lot easier. Thorite has been an excellent company to work with so far and the 10 year service contract will hopefully ensure that we can rely on peak production," he adds.
