Automaton improves Thatchers Cider production by 900% 15 October 2010
Thatchers Cider's Myrtle Farm plant is reporting a 900% increase in capacity, since installing a keg automation system from Moody Automation.
Part of an expansion programme incorporating a £1.4million investment in new packaging facilities, the new system now runs at 450 kegs per hour.
Neil Day, operations director at Thatchers, describes the plant as a comprehensive one-stop kegging solution, with integral washing, capping and labelling, as well as camera inspection at two key points on the line.
