Ashtead invests in RAE gas monitor maintenance 23 August 2011
Ashtead Technology has invested in a new service and calibration facility for RAE portable gas monitors, following increasing demand.
The company's Letchworth based service team has been trained by RAE and the new workshop is equipped with all necessary tools and spares, as well as a range of calibration gases.
"We are now able to service and calibrate the entire range of RAE toxic gas monitors, in addition to the other gas detectors and monitors that we rent or sell to customers," says service manager Dave Mills.
The calibration facility has been stocked with certified calgas bottles for all of the most commonly required gases for health and safety, confined space, leak detection, contaminated land and emissions monitoring applications. These include VOCs, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, H2S, LEL (CH4) and isobutylene.
Mills says plant engineers can expect a rapid turnaround time for service jobs – typically three to five days, in addition to discounts for loan units and for customers with multiple units.
He also asserts that Ashtead Technology offers competitive annual service and maintenance contracts, with the organisation's service department automatically contacting users to arrange for service appointments.
