Anglian Water appoints ECS Engineering Services as a MEICA framework contractor26 October 2021
ECS has won a place on the latest mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) works and services framework with Anglian Water. ECS will support the water company with comprehensive electromechanical services for infrastructure projects.
Anglian Water supplies water to 4.3 million people in the East of England, cleaning a billion litres of wastewater at over a thousand sites every day. ECS has been selected as a framework contractor to work directly with Anglian Water and its alliance partners for the next five years, throughout the UK water industry’s seventh asset management period (AMP7).
Shortlisted contractors were put through a competitive process, with strict criteria around quality and safety standards needing to be met to be chosen by Anglian Water.
The award follows years of ECS trading for Anglian Water and its alliance partners, with work including Archimedes screw pump refurbishments and replacements. MEICA teams from ECS have also served Environment Agency frameworks in the Anglian Water region. This new win builds on the success of other recent framework wins within the water treatment industry, including those with Severn Trent and Thames Water.
