Amarinth unveils small, high-efficiency condensate recovery units03 July 2014
Centrifugal pumps manufacturer Amarinth, which specialises in the oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries, has launched a range of smaller, lighter, more efficient condensate recovery units.
Managing director Oliver Brigginshaw says they are optimised for light industrial use and complement Amarinth's existing range of heavy-duty 'intelligent' condensate recovery plant.
"We have been able to incorporate the latest technologies into our new range, which has enabled us to deliver high efficiency CRUs allowing plant and building services operators to make much needed further savings," states Brigginshaw.
"They satisfy an increasing demand for lightweight intelligent CRUs," he adds – pointing to the proven energy savings such plant delivers as it collects hot condensate from steam systems and returns it back to the boiler plant as boiler feed.
The new CRUs are manufactured from stainless steel, instead of the traditional galvanised steel, but cost the same as existing products, with Amarinth claiming that "innovative technology" returns condensate "back to the system more frequently".
High efficiency, multi-stage motors along with improvements in the motor design and control systems appear to be behind the development.
The new design has also enabled Amarinth to rationalise its range to just three units, making selection of the optimum CRU much easier.
