300th MRO vending machine installed at Atlantic Air 22 April 2015
MRO (maintenance, repair and operations) specialists Brammer and Buck & Hickman have notched up their 300th installation of the Invend industrial vending system for consumables and tools.
Coventry-based Atlantic Air Transport was the latest to take the system, having installed two carousel and one locker-style Invend vending machines for its tools and general maintenance consumables.
The firm – which specialises in air freighting, and runs a busy maintenance and servicing division – says it was impressed by the systems' ability to improve stock control and traceability.
"From increasing productivity by reducing the amount of time staff take to locate and order consumables, to providing greater visibility over which items are used and by whom, Invend is proven to reduce usage of consumable MRO products by 25—40%," asserts According to Ged Farrell, head of industrial vending services from Brammer and Buck & Hickman.
