Yokogawa to sell wireless GasSecure gas detectors 07 July 2014
Yokogawa Electric has signed a deal with GasSecure which will see GasSecure's ISA100 wireless gas detectors distributed through Yokogawa's global sales network.
Systems covered are aimed at monitoring for hydrocarbon leaks at offshore platforms, tank farms, industrial plants, and the like.
Yokogawa sees the deal as strengthening its line-up of plant wireless solutions as well as improving its ability to support health, safety, security and environment management.
GasSecure's gas detectors communicate wirelessly with host systems performing monitoring and control – meaning reduced costs and complexity, particularly in difficult-to-wire locations.
The deal fits well with Yokogawa at a technical level, too, with the company already being strong in ISA100 wireless compliant technologies and devices.
