Veolia delivers Ideal Standard combined heat and power 04 March 2015
Ideal Standard has successfully commissioned two 500kWe CHP (combined heat and power) systems from Veolia’s specialist packaged CHP team, Cogenco, at its plant in Wittlich, Germany.
The contract includes a five-year service and maintenance contract, which will be implemented by Veolia's specialist packaged CHP team Cogenco, based in France.
The Ideal Standard plant, which produces a range of high-end sanitary fittings, required a heating and electrical generation package capable of significantly reducing its carbon emissions, in line with strict environmental limits.
Veolia's procurement site management team offered Ideal Standard assistance at the initial concept stage, while also providing advice throughout the design and installation process.
Veolia designed and installed the CHP packages, which now generate electricity and heat for industrial and manufacturing processes from a single fuel source.
It is now enabling consistent and stable electricity as well as hot water supply at Ideal Standard's manufacturing site.
