Speedy spends £500,000 on plant to scale heights 07 May 2010
Plant and equipment rental specialist Speedy has invested more than half a million pounds in a range of low-level access equipment from specialist manufacturer, Custom Equipment.
Its new push-around vehicles (PAVs) and self-propelled scissor lifts from the firm's Hy-Brid range provide working heights of up to 4.87m and 4.27m respectively.
"Manufacturers like Custom Equipment are producing increasingly sophisticated low-level access equipment which helps people to work safely and efficiently at height," comments Andy Connor, supply chain director at Speedy.
"Our customers are increasingly requesting lightweight and quiet machines like these which can be used across light computer flooring, where point loading is crucial and within an array of environments that dictate low noise levels like offices and hospitals," he explains.
