Siemens partners with Hayley Group for gear units 10 July 2012

Following its recent motors and couplings partnership deal with engineering distributor Hayley Group, Siemens Industry is now working with the company for its FZG bevel-helical gear units.

As a result Hayley Group now offers a range of Siemens motors, heavy duty gear units and couplings from stock via its 25,000 sq ft engineering facility in Dudley, West Midlands.

"We are the only Siemens national partner to offer ex-stock delivery on Siemens motors up to 315kW around the clock," comments Hayley's Rod Maden.

"Now we can also offer the FZG range of gear units in the most popular sizes with a range of ratio, shaft, backstop and mounting options, capable of transmitting input powers up to 170 kW. This makes them ideal for high-power applications," he adds.

Paul Dudley, drive technologies channel manager for Siemens Industry, expects the new service to be popular with plant managers "seeking the best products and systems to maximise whole asset life".
