National Pile Croppers improves its core business operations with MCS Rental Software 14 November 2022
Plant & tool hirer National Pile Croppers has begun using MCS Rental Software. This has improved the ability to deliver a better experience for its customers with clear visibility of its equipment and availability, the company says.
In choosing MCS, National Pile Croppers was looking for software to manage the growth of its rental business and swap its spreadsheets for an all-in-one digital solution. The company had its concerns as it had used paper-based systems for years; however, MCS quickly reassured it of the system's capabilities and supported it throughout the investment.
Lee Aston, director at National Pile Croppers, said: “The link between the resource planner and the delivery drivers' mobile devices is seamless. Our aim of becoming paperless is now almost complete. Drivers can obtain customer signatures and delivery photos in real-time and this information is then instantly available on the MCS platform for onward sharing.”
With National Pile Croppers’ fleet exceeding over 1,000 items of equipment across four depots, maintaining and servicing of equipment is needed constantly. Without control and visibility of its equipment, things can be easily missed making the kit unfit for use, Lee Aston explained: “The workshop feature in MCS allows us to keep control of our fleet ensuring the maintenance and servicing of the equipment is carried out on time. Additionally, engineering and LOLER certifications are included, giving customers the assurance that the equipment they receive is fit for purpose”.
