Moons’ Industries has claimed its new ∅19mm Slotless Motor is ideal for applications that use smaller portable, hand-held devices.

The ECU19058 is said to bridge the gap between Moons’ ø16mm and ø22mm models, delivering a robust performance in a compact form.

It is important for handheld devices used in a range of industrial applications to be lightweight, compact, easy to operate and comfortable.

According to Moons’, a power source is also an essential requirement in many of these devices, so motors that offer optimum reliability in the lightest, most compact package will always be preferred.

The ECU19058 has a patented slotless motor winding design that is claimed to achieve high efficiency and power density, which means hand-held, portable devices deliver reliable power. Key specifications include a nominal voltage of 12V, no load speed of 14800 RPM, nominal speed of 13260 RPM, max continuous torque of 30.6 mNm, max efficiency of 86%, and a stall torque of 258 nMn.

Designed for configurations across a range of applications, the ECU19058 can be paired with the Moons’ PG19M series planetary reducer, incremental and absolute encoders of the same size. This versatility allows the motor to meet various high-torque and control accuracy needs which means it can handle a range of complex applications. The ECU19058 offers customers a range of customisation options, including special size requirements, performance parameters and interface designs.
