Entries are open until 24 September with the winners to be announced at the Champions Awards grand final in Manchester on 3 December.
The Manufacturing Champions Awards is on the hunt for star factory employees who display teamwork, innovation and go the extra mile for customers.
This year's awards features three additional categories – Supply Chain Champion, Energy Champion and Maintenance Team Award – to reflect the breadth of expertise required on the road to manufacturing excellence.
Max Gosney, WM group editor, said: "Manufacturing Champions is all about shining a light on the sheer brilliance being delivered by the good folk of British manufacturing on a daily basis. Please help us showcase your success to politicians and the general public by entering your star employees and teams for the Champions Awards."
Returning economic confidence and a change of government mean this is the crucial time for the sector to celebrate its talent pool, according to industry leaders.
Dirk Villé, general manager of Atlas Copco UK and Ireland, said: "What the manufacturing community must not do is shy away from the limelight. To secure deserved support, we now need to demonstrate the talent and capabilities of British industry to the widest possible audience and these awards are an important part of that process."
Julie Madigan, CEO of The Manufacturing Institute, said: "We are delighted to be supporting the Awards again and look forward to hearing about, and celebrating, more fantastic stories of success."
Ten categories are open for entry including Rising Star, Community Champion, Manufacturing Team and Safe Workplace Champion.
