High efficiency water filter in demand for IPS 15 May 2012

St Helens water filtration firm Industrial Purification Systems (IPS) has more than doubled its manufacturing to meet demand for its process water improvement technology.

IPS attributes its growth to its new high efficiency water filter, called the CrossFlow AMF and developed to fill what managing director Steve Cupples describes as a gap in the market for a reliable micro water filter.

"We are looking to double our turnover in 2012, having already exceeded last year's total by 40%, with the launch of the CrossFlow AMF, which is proving to be very successful," states Cupples.

"This has necessitated us expanding in order to provide for more efficient manufacturing and assembly. We will also be introducing on-site water testing and analysis facilities together with a technology development section," he continues.

Cupples says the firm has clearly demonstrated that there is a market for reliable fine filtration to less than 1.0 micron.

"Microscopic particles have not previously been recognised as being the cause of major problems for industrial and commercial water," he explains. "With the right application, users of significant amounts of water are now seeing huge benefits in cost and energy savings."
