Evidential skills for engineering expert witnesses course 14 January 2014

'Evidential Skills for Engineering Expert Witnesses' is the title of a new training course being offered by the membership body INITA (Independent National Inspection & Testing Association), which includes an FFI Workshop on HSE interview under caution.

INITA secretary Jim Haire says that, given recent legal changes regarding expert witness liability, this course is aimed at better equipping engineers should they find themselves in a courtroom or being interviewed under caution.

The venue is The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, 12 Bloomsbury Square, London, on 26 March 2014, and the seminar will be presented by specialist Prosol (Professional Solutions Training & Development).

Lynden Alexander, a forensic analyst will present the seminar on behalf of Prosol, and will be supported by practicing barristers and a former HSE factory inspector.

"This training seminar is a massive opportunity for INITA members to gain invaluable experience in an area of our job that, if we're honest, we all live in some fear of," comments Haire.

"Accessing this quality of training in the processes of court room protocol and procedure could prove priceless should any of us find ourselves dragged into litigation resulting from the work we do," He adds.
